Maui Culinary Tours Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do I have to reserve and pay in advance?
    • Yes. At this time we only accept VISA, Mastercard.  We cannot accept cash or checks, and all payments must be made in advance.
  • Do you have any special rates, such as Seniors, Children, or Kama'aina?
    • All tickets are the same price.
  • May my children come on the tour?
    • People in Hawaii love children! However, we recommend them be 12 and older. There are no paths for strollers on the agricultural portion of the tour. The afternoon tour including the meal is approximately 6 hours long. Children will be charged the same price as adults for tour & meal, however, they would not qualify (under 21) for the wine tastings menu.
  • Is the tour handicap accessible?
    • In the agricultural portion of the tour, there are sometimes no paved paths for a wheelchair. Our transportation vehicles also do not have wheelchair ramps. Please be aware of these conditions when booking a tour.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    • All tickets are non-refundable after purchase. The only exceptions will be in the event of severe weather that would prohibit visiting the sites, in which case the entire prepaid amount will be refunded.
  • Speaking of weather, what happens if it rains?
    • Our Hawaii rains are generally warm and mild. They are typically sporadic, occuring for short bouts, followed by sunshine. Often it rains in one area and not another. Ponchos and parasols will be provided for your comfort. Cancellation or rescheduling will occur only at the discretion of the tour director, such as in the rare case of severe weather.
  • How much food is served on the tour?
    • There will be bottled water and light snacks provided during the approximate 3 hour driving portion of the agricultural tour. There is a fine dining meal provided at lunch including coffee or tea. Seperate wine tastings are available for an additional fee, if available. Patrons must be 21 or older to be allowed any alcohol (by law).
  • Does the tour fee include standard gratuities?
    • The booked rate includes restauarant gratuities, however, it does not include gratututies for your driver and tour guide. Any additional "aloha" from you would be appreciated!
  • What kind of food will we be enjoying?
    • Depending on the restaurant, we will be enjoying a variety of Pacific Rim fusion, "Local", or any number of combinations.
  • What if I have dietary restrictions?
    • Please let us know when booking. We will advise you at that time if we are able to accommodate you (such as vegetarian, or certain allergies). We cannot make changes to the menu on the day of the tour.
  • Which restaurants will we visit on the tour?
    • All restaurants are locally owned and managed. They will vary depending on the day and type of the tour.
  • Is it okay to take video or snap pictures at the agricultural sites or restaurants?
    • Yes, and we will be stopping at a few locations to take advantage of the extraordinary view vistas in the Upcountry Maui area.
  • Where does the tour begin and end?
    • Typically we will begin and end at an agreed upon municipal lot. However, if we find that the group is all booked at say a large hotel, we'll begin and end there.  We suggest you call us 24 hrs in advance and we'll update you.
  • Are restrooms available during the tour?
    • Yes, we'll let you know where they are in advance.
  • Are gift certificates available?
