Maui Culinary Tours

Food and Agricultural Tour (12pm to 6pm, Tues, Wed, & Thurs)

Your personal guide will narrate the agricultural history of Maui, describing past and present methods, as you travel from point to point. Chilled water and light snacks are available in the van, as well as recycled totes for produce or other guest purchases. Umbrellas and ponchos are always on hand in the event of rain.

Lunch will be provided by a local establishment with a variety of choices including local produce, locally grown beef, and freshly caught fish, if available. Guests will be provided a menu selection, including tea or coffee. Separate wine or other alcoholic beverages may be purchased individually by guests, if available. *

At Tedeschi Winery in Ulupalakua, there will be a private tour of the facilities provided by the winery, touching on the area history, and detailing the current process involving grapes and pineapples. A selection of Tedeschi wines will be sampled in a casual and entertaining atmosphere. Items are available for purchase in their gift shop.

At Evonuk Farms in lower Kula, we’ll take an easy walk around the perimeter of the farm with the owners. They’ll describe their farming and family history, explain local vegetation, such as bananas and sugarcane, as well as cultivated crops that they wholesale. A 3rd generation family farm, the tour is casual, yet highly interesting and informative.

Sustainable South Maui Villa Tour (4pm to7pm, Wednesdays Only)

Stroll casually through the gardens and trees to see an abundance of native species, farmed fruits, and vegetables growing in natural splendor. Enjoy a refreshing repast compiled with fresh fruits and veggies harvested from the garden only moments before!

Your local hosts will explain the different plants they farm and sustainable aquaponic systems they have created. They will also prepare the sumptuous late afternoon repast from timeless family recipes and only the freshest ingredients (hint: a wood burning oven on the lanai is a plus!)

Transportation

AIO Executive Services, Inc. provides our transportation services. They are a locally owned, PUC licensed company with a good driving record. Their vehicles are well maintained, air conditioned, and expertly driven to provide you a carefree experience. The coach vehicle will carry water and light refreshments, as well as storage for any items you purchase during the tour.
